Title: Structural and functional MRI of awake behaving marmosets at 9.4T
Abstract: Marmosets are a strong candidate for basic and translational neuroscience research, as an intermediate model between mice and humans. We have been developing MRI hardware and paradigms to study awake, behaving marmosets in our 9.4T Varian magnet with Bruker Neo electronics. We are currently using these approaches, along with traditional electrophysiology with Neuropixels and brush electrodes to study homologies between human auditory processing and marmosets with respect to voices and sounds. I will present some of the history of our MRI developments over the past few years as well as some of the most recent fMRI and electrophysiological recordings.
